The Cookware & Bakeware Alliance is recognized as a leader in developing and communicating product safety standards and innovative solutions for the cooking and baking industry.
With a history of over 100 years, the CBA catalyzes a growing, diverse and dynamic membership. The CBA aligns and unifies its members and the cooking and baking industry through four founding pillars of engineering, engagement, education, and expertise.
The CBA Engineering Standards for Cookware and Bakeware are the result of extraordinary voluntary collaboration among member companies. These standards cover manufacturing design, tolerances, materials, testing, and finishes. The Engineering Standards are included with CBA membership. Non-members and third parties may purchase a copy to guide the testing of the safety and quality of cookware and bakeware products.
Members work together with the goal of uniting our industry, recognizing that we are stronger together. Through collaboration among our members, we address important issues impacting the cookware and bakeware industry. We nurture an impressive array of opportunities to engage.
The CBA collects and shares important information and promotes the safety of consumer products. Our Good Science initiative provides industry knowledge-seekers with resources and access to additional information on critical topics. Our goal is to increase consumer awareness and interest in the cookware and bakeware categories.
Members of the CBA represent top organizations in our industry. Through their collaboration by sharing their expertise and advice to establish new standards, systematically update previous standards, and educate segments of the market, all members contribute to advancing the cookware and bakeware industry.
The Alliance has added new services and benefits to make membership even more valuable. We have become one of the major authorities providing factual information regarding the use and legislation of PFAS chemicals. There are more terrific initiatives to come.
