Engineering Standards

An Important Pillar in the Industry

CBA Engineering Standards | January 2024 Revisions

At the CBA, we recognize the importance of having a proven and established set of engineering standards. These standards are crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality cookware and bakeware that meet the needs of consumers. For over 100 years, CBA members have been dedicated to working together to develop a comprehensive set of Engineering Standards for Cookware and Bakeware. The primary goal of these standards is to enhance public welfare and improve the overall service provided to the public.

Dedicated to Improving the Industry

The Engineering Standards are continuously updated to incorporate changes in materials and technology. Representatives from each member company volunteer to participate in regular meetings of the CBA Engineering Standards Committee. The purpose of these meetings is to improve existing standards and develop new ones.

The Engineering Standards Committee and its subcommittees are visible and valuable elements of CBA because they:

  • Maintain the integrity of the engineering standards to promote the welfare of the cookware industry.
  • Improve its services to the public.
  • Carry out activities in furtherance of the industry consistent with the public interest and recognized as lawful for trade associations.
