The Cookware and Bakeware Alliance (CBA) had a vibrant and active presence at the 2024 Inspired Home Show in Chicago. The CBA team, led by Fran Groesbeck and Lakelyn Braddy, was delighted to interact with many of our members and fellow industry professionals at the event.
CBA’s booth, numbered S3230, was a hub of activity and information exchange. The team was thrilled to share insights and updates about the CBA’s latest initiatives and industry trends. They also enjoyed meeting other CBA members, answering questions, and discussing future strategies.
One of the highlights of the event was the happy hour hosted at the CBA booth on Monday evening. This gathering provided a fantastic opportunity for CBA members to network with each other, meet the board members, and engage in enriching conversations about the industry’s future. The atmosphere was lively with snacks, drinks, and, most importantly, the sharing of ideas and experiences. We sincerely thank everyone who made the time to join us.
The Inspired Home Show was a platform for important discussions around regulatory actions critical to the home goods sector. A key topic was around Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) legislation, an issue of significant relevance to our alliance and the broader industry. Fran Groesbeck, our managing director, Tom Lee of BCLP Law—an attorney with extensive PFAS expertise, and Tobias Gerfin, the CEO of Kuhn Rikon AG, led a seminar providing an overview of the latest developments in government action on PFAS.
The seminar underscored that PFAS regulation is a fast-moving issue for the industry. However, the team reassured members that the CBA is committed to keeping them updated by publishing a series of PFAS education documents. They also highlighted the need for companies to collect and organize their data about PFAS product content for reporting to the EPA.
Overall, the Inspired Home Show was a resounding success for the CBA, with a strong turnout from our members. For a visual recap of the event, we invite you to check out the images from the show below.
