The Cookware and Bakeware Alliance Calls for Industry-Wide Participation to Expand Retailer Membership

Bradley Beach, NJ, Release: For Immediate Release.

The Cookware and Bakeware Alliance (CBA) is on a mission. As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the industry, the CBA is currently conducting a membership drive to include more retailers.

Last year they introduced a Retailer membership level. This strategic move aims to foster greater collaboration and unity within the cookware and bakeware industry.

This initiative comes at a critical time when the housewares retail sector is facing numerous challenges, including political issues, shipping complications, and rapidly changing market conditions.

The importance of retailer membership in the CBA cannot be overstated. Retailers are the industry’s front line, directly engaging with consumers and addressing their needs and questions. Retailers are recognized by the CBA as bringing a unique voice and perspective to their membership. Their participation in the CBA completes the industry picture and helps align standards across the sector.

Benefits of CBA retailer membership include:

  • Access to timely and relevant regulation information and seminars
  • Insights on industry standards, coatings, and product testing
  • Opportunities for international manufacturer connections
  • Educational resources, including “Boot Camp” training for buyers
  • Alerts on innovations in cookware and bakeware technology
  • Industry trend reports

The CBA is calling for referrals and encouraging retailers to consider applying for membership. Inspired by the recent list of retailers, “Top 50 Housewares Retailers of 2023” published by HomePage News, the Alliance wants to take this time to recognize and call on retailers to become part of their efforts to strengthen the industry. Whether a retailer is on this list or not, we want to hear from them and show them the benefits of membership.

“By bringing retailers into our membership, we’re creating a more cohesive and informed industry,” said CBA Managing Director, Fran Groesbeck. “This initiative will help us to better address the challenges faced by all segments of the cookware and bakeware sector, from manufacturers to end consumers.”
